Event #2: Little River Box Company is proud to collaborate with “Cube Wynwood” in orchestrating and installation of this exciting work. The principals of Little River Box Company first stacking container concept was at an art happening at Urbanus on NE 27th Avenue in Art basel December 2006. PRIMARY, along with Chicago-based artist Cody Hudson, work in collaboration to introduce Wynwood’s first newly constructed boutique office-over-retail building, CUBE WYNWD, with a visual ground-breaking art installation titled “Future No.1 (Fill The Void)” during Miami Art Week. For this installation, Hudson is producing large text-based banners attached to a series of stacked and connected shipping containers. The artist has created a temporary open sculpture that allows the viewer to walk through or pause in its interior, immersed in the observations and directives from the artist. The installation aims to slow one down and invites reflection and conversation during one's complicated day. Each viewer is able to become a part of the piece as they interpret what these open-ended messages and statements mean to them. Taking cues from a diverse array of subjects including utopian and dystopian culture, psychoactive plants, motivational speakers, & the serigraphic works of Sister Mary Corita Kent, Hudson synthesizes the high & low and the public & private into a melodic barrage of poetic messaging. This art installation will be open to the public Date: Monday, November 28 to Wednesday, November 30 from 10am - 12am, Thursday, December 1 to Saturday, December 3 from 10am - 3am, and Sunday, December 4 from 10am - 12am Location: 222 NW 24th St. Miami, FL 33127
